A few scenes from Thuppakki will be removed

Following the protests from a very few of the Muslim organisations, the director and producer of the Vijay-starrer Thuppakki have decided to delete some scenes in the film.

Some of the organisations in their protest staged on Wednesday said that some of the scenes allegedly portrayed the community in a bad light. On Thursday, the TN State Chief Secretary Debendranath Sarangi held talks with the film's director A.R.Murugadoss, producer Kalaipuli S.Dhanu and representatives of about 24 Muslim organisations, it is learnt.

As of now around 1400 prints of Thuppakki are in circulation across the world and an expert said removing the objectionable portions would not be difficult, as it could be done digitally.

It is also learnt that about five controversial portions in the film are likely to be removed.

According to information, the film is doing good business at the box office and the removal of the portions from the film in no way affect the revenue of the film, it is said.
