The impact of the comedy tv episodes of the Japanese Shin Chan, makes an Indian girl who is in her twenties to learn the Japanese language. The parents of the girl are wondering over the girl, T.Aishwarya, a Chennai Women's College student, was attracted to the cartoon series and whenever she used to chat with her friends, she would not miss out to talk about the young boy Shin Chan character.
Even some of Aishwarya's friends started calling her as the first fan of the tv series, which is dubbed into various languages including the Indian languages like Tamil,Kannada, Telugu and Hindi.
Aishwarya's penchant to learn the Japanese language started only after she has started viewing the Shin Chan. Somehow she was moved by the comedy dialogues and pranks of the boy Shin Chan with his teachers and his friends, especially with his mother, made her to learn the language, but without the help of going Japanese classes.
She started learning the language by visiting You Tube Videos and e-books. Now Aishwarya and her mother have learnt the numbers, names of week days and they could tell the time and numericals also in Japanese language. Literally, mother and daughter have started conversing with each other in Japanese language.
They will also tell the food habits and the cultures and Holidays and other traditions of the Japanese.
There are millions of fans for the Shin Chan, in and around in India and elsewhere but this young Indian girl and her mother are made to learn the language impeccably within a month's time.
" Of course, I could have learnt the language completely, but my college classes and subsequent semester examinations, made me too learn the language after an hiatus of 15 days".
" I would wish to visit Japan, and wanted to watch the making of the Shin Chan cartoon" says Aishwarya.
Shin Chan is being telecast through the Hungama TV Channel.
Adds Aishwarya, " I used to watch the videos of the Japanese language taught by various eminent teachers (Sensai in Japanese language) and understood the technique and basic conversation".
Aishwarya who first learnt the language, asked her mother Mrs Karpagam Thyagarajan, to learn the language. Her mother is also a fan of the Shin Chan character and both used to bring out loud laughter whenever they saw the characters of this cartoon series.
It is great not only the girl had learnt the Japanese language without visiting any language institute, but she has started mimic the Shin Chan's character's voice in the Tamil language.
Aishwarya's cell-phone has a lot of Shin Chan photos and audios and would enjoy them whenever she feels dull and would watch the episodes repeatedly which she had downloaded in her computer, bought a decade ago.
